Philip Portwood

Philip Portwood was an East Acton Councillor for twenty two years, being elected in six successive elections. He has served longer as an East Acton Councillor than any other person in the history of local government in Acton (which began in 1895).
Philip is a lifelong resident of East Acton, where his family have lived since the 1880s. He is now the Chair of Governors at John Perryn Primary School on the East Acton Estate, where both he and his Dad were pupils.
Philip was the Millennium Mayor of the Borough. His current public service includes being a Non-Executive Director of the Outer West London NHS, a Director of the Acton Community Forum, and a Trustee of both the Acton (Middlesex) Charities and the Imperial College Healthcare Charity.
